The Makita RT0701C is a 1-1/4 Horsepower compact router. Smooth rack-and-pinion fine depth adjustment system for more precise settings. The router has a slim and ergonomically designed body for increased comfort and control. A quick release cam lock system for convenient depth adjustments and base removal-installation. The RT0701C accepts industry standard template guides. Electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load and has Soft start feature for smooth startups. High visibility base design for improved handling and performance, the base can be removed quickly to install other bases. Heavy duty aluminum motor housing engineered for increased durability. The router has durable flat top design for added convenience when changing bits. Non-marring high-durability base insert for increased work piece protection. The plunge base has 0"- 1-3/8" plunge depth capacity and easy to use fine depth adjustment with 3 preset depth stops for added precision. The sub-base of the plunge base accepts industry standard template guides. Has removable clear plastic shield for protection from debris. The tilt base is used for routing at different angles (-30 degree to 45 degree). It allows different profiles when using same bit. Ideal for trimming laminated boards and other thin materials.
